Elbow Flexor Stretch

4 steps Updated 29/08/2026

Elbow Flexor Stretch is a bodyweight exercise targeting Forearms (Flexor Carpi Radialis, Flexor Carpi Ulnaris), Chest (Pectoralis Major).

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Stand next to a wall with your feet shoulder-width apart, and extend your right arm out fully against the wall at shoulder height, palm facing the wall.
  2. Rotate your torso away from the wall to increase the stretch in your arm.
  3. Ensure your right arm is straight and press your palm firmly against the wall.
  4. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, feeling the stretch in your forearm and elbow flexors, then switch to the other arm.
