Cable Bent Over One Arm Lateral Raise

4 steps Updated 29/08/2026

Cable Bent Over One Arm Lateral Raise is a resistance exercise targeting Shoulders (Posterior Deltoids) using Cable Pulley Machine.

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Attach a single handle to a low pulley on a cable machine. Stand to the side of the machine with your right side facing it, and grasp the handle with the left hand, allowing the cable to cross in front of your body.
  2. Bend at the hips until your upper body is nearly parallel to the floor, keeping your knees slightly bent and your back flat. Let the arm holding the handle hang straight down.
  3. Raise the handle out to the side until your hand is at shoulder level, keeping a slight bend in your elbow.
  4. Slowly lower the handle back to the starting position. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
