Dumbbell Single Arm Starfish Crunch

4 steps Updated 29/08/2026

Dumbbell Single Arm Starfish Crunch is a free weights exercise targeting Abdominals (Obliques, Rectus Abdominis) using Dumbbells.

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Begin by lying flat on your back with your arms and legs extended in a starfish position. Hold a dumbbell in your right hand and keep the left hand firm on the floor.
  2. Engage your core and lift your left leg and right arm simultaneously, aiming to touch the dumbbell to your left foot.
  3. Reach as high as possible, squeezing your abdominal muscles at the top of the movement.
  4. Lower your arm and leg back to the starting position in a controlled manner. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch to holding the dumbbell in your left hand and raising your right leg.
