Plate Front Raise

4 steps Updated 29/08/2026

Plate Front Raise is a free weights exercise targeting Shoulders (Anterior Deltoids).

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a weight plate with both hands. Keep your arms extended straight down in front of your hips.
  2. Raise the plate in front of you with straight arms until they are parallel to the floor, keeping a slight bend in your elbows.
  3. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, then slowly lower the plate back to the starting position with control.
  4. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining good form throughout.
