Diagonal Chop Right

4 steps Updated 29/08/2026

Diagonal Chop Right is a bodyweight exercise targeting Obliques (External Oblique, Internal Oblique).

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Start standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, clasping your hands together and holding them extended oposite your chest.
  2. Rotate your torso and simultaneously bring your hands diagonally across your body towards your right hip, bending your knees slightly as you turn.
  3. Keep your arms extended and pivot your right foot as you rotate to protect your knee from strain.
  4. Return to the starting position in a controlled manner, bringing your hands back opposite your chest.
