4 steps Updated 29/08/2026
Handstand Push on Chair is a bodyweight exercise targeting Shoulders (Deltoids), Triceps (Triceps Brachii).
How to perform it
- Begin by placing a sturdy chair against a wall for stability. Position yourself in front of the chair, with your back facing it.
- Place your hands on the floor slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, about a foot away from the chair. Kick up into a handstand position, with your feet resting on the seat of the chair.
- Slowly lower your head towards the floor by bending your elbows, keeping your body straight and your core engaged.
- Push through your hands to extend your arms and return to the starting handstand position. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
