Resistance Band Floor Hyperextension is a resistance exercise targeting Lower Back (Erector Spinae), Glutes (Gluteus Maximus, Gluteus Medius using Loop Resistance Band.

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Lie face down on the floor with a loop resistance band over your ankles and another loop resistance band over your forearms. Extend your arms forward and keep your legs straight.
  2. Engage your core and glutes, and lift your chest and legs off the floor simultaneously, spreading your legs apart against the resistance of the band.
  3. Squeeze your lower back muscles at the top of the movement, keeping your arms and legs straight.
  4. Slowly lower your chest and legs back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
