Resistance Band Lying Hyperextension Abduction is a resistance exercise targeting Glutes (gluteus maximus, gluteus mideus), Hip Abductors (Tensor Fasciae Latae using Resistance Band.
How to perform it
- Lie face down on the floor with your arms crossed under your head, resting your forehead on your arms. Place a loop resistance band around your thighs, just above your knees. Keep your legs extended and feet together.
- Engage your core and glutes to lift your legs straight off the floor while resting your head on your arms.
- While lifting your legs, spread them wide apart against the band's resistance, keeping your legs straight.
- Slowly bring your legs back together while lowering them to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired repetitions.
