Resistance Band Squat

4 steps Updated 29/08/2026

Resistance Band Squat is a resistance exercise targeting Glutes (gluteus maximus, gluteus mideus), Quadriceps (Quadriceps Femoris) using Resistance Band.

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and place a loop resistance band around your thighs, just above your knees. Keep your chest up and bring both hands close to your chest.
  2. Lower your body into a squat position by bending your knees and pushing your hips back as if you are sitting in a chair.
  3. Push through your heels to stand back up to the starting position, keeping the resistance band taut.
  4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
