Resistance Band Standing Balance Glute Kickback (Version 2)

4 steps Updated 29/08/2026

Resistance Band Standing Balance Glute Kickback (Version 2) is a resistance exercise targeting Glutes (gluteus maximus, gluteus mideus) using Resistance Band.

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and place a loop resistance band around your thighs, just above your knees. Place your hands on your hips for balance.
  2. Shift your weight onto your right leg and lift your left foot slightly off the floor.
  3. Keeping your right leg straight, kick it back and upward against the band's resistance, squeezing your glutes at the top of the movement.
  4. Slowly return your left leg to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch to the right leg.
