Barbell Deadlift High Pull is a free weights exercise targeting Quadriceps (Quadriceps Femoris), Glutes (gluteus maximus, gluteus mideus) using Barbell.

Step by step

How to perform it

  1. Place a barbell on the floor in front of you. Stand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart and your toes pointed slightly outward.
  2. Hinge at your hips and bend your knees to lower your body, grip the barbell with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  3. Push through your heels to lift the barbell off the floor, extending your hips and knees simultaneously. As you reach the standing position, pull the barbell upward towards your chin by bending your elbows and keeping them pointed outward.
  4. Lower the barbell back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
